Hi, my name is Denise Bonar and I head up Waggy Trails. I have a great love of animals and am extremely passionate about how they are treated.  I currently own two Bearded Collies, Brodie and Diesel whom I adore.

I have gained a wealth of experience working with animals in several areas.  From a young age, I was involved working on a voluntary basis with the Cat Protection League and in more recent years with a variety of other furry friends but specializing in dogs at the local SSPCA centre.

For the last 6 years, I have been successfully running Puppy School.  These are puppy classes designed to give you and your puppy the best possible start in life through proper socialisation and basic training.   We only use positive reward based training methods. The methods used to train are kind, fair and effective and I urge anyone only to use this method when building that special bond with your dog either training or throughout your dog’s daily life.

Together, with my love and keen interest in learning more about our four legged friends, I was inspired to study and successfully complete  a 3 year Foundation Degree in Canine Behaviour and Dog Training with Hull University.

Being involved, helping a number of dogs with many different behaviour problems and seeing the positive results, led me to take the decision to set up Waggy Trails. This will allow me to continue to help owners with varying aspects of professional pet care and pass on my knowledge, understanding and expertise explaining and helping owners understand what makes our wonderful pets do what they do.
